I have read the tipping point, blink, the world is flat and freakonomics. They all have great points and all help you see other sides of stories you might not have seen if you had never thought about the concepts.
I didn't enjoy Blink that much, too many inconsistencies...
Every thought causes an action which in turn causes a reaction. Thought impels action. Digging down to find the root cause of the reaction is, in many cases a very tough job. Whether it be "Hush Puppies" or an STD.
The author did a good job of deciphering that all important "trigger".
If ya like this you should also check out "Freakonomics"
Kapai, Basal, I'll check out "Blink too"
The Tipping Point lists one of my top 5 favoriate books. It is awsome to see how the author breaks down causes of trends,
epidemics, and much much more. In addition, he observes that there are types of people who connect other people to a ripple effect of a phenomenon. If you take a look around you, you might be able to see the same things as the author does, hence you might think this book is all the common sense bulll shit. But the author points out how much we are missing out on the "tipping point" of every cause, which makes it a facinating read. :)
