No it's true. I'm a freak. Look over your shoulder next time you're in a book store...I'll be there! :-)
I got put onto The New Drawing via Dan Pink's "A Whole New Mind".
Very very good book.
Explores the idea of tapping into the right side of your brain more too.
I hope I'm not starting to look like a book stalker or something...but yet again a nice choice.
Had this one for a while though.
Wish my art teacher in school had used something like this.
I picked this book up today and its led to me to a path of thought I don't usually think about. I sat in a cafe and explored some these.
The brain is split into two halves. The right side of the brain controls the left part of of your body. The left side controls the right side of your body. The left side deals with numbers, language and communication. The right side manges more thought processing stuff.
I have always thought that left handed people have a tendency to be more creative. Maybe this could be due to the fact that the right side (creative) part of the brain is controlling their hand.
So I thought to myself . . . maybe I should write with my left hand and see if I become more creative. This didn't work and I soon became confused.
I then thought maybe I could find someway (drug) that could boost my creative side of the brain, so I could effectively become a creative genius. I the pondered the fact that if I had a massive right hemisphere, then my small left side would not be able to communicate my thoughts. This would create a kind of Cassandra effect (daughter of Priam). Not good.
Anyway I'm going back to my thoughts. This is a great book.
