Anyone know a freelance copy writer / editor / content provider for a long term project ?
Money is very limited now, so probably more looking for someone who want to be part of something new and who can see a long time benefit of a project or need a good thing on the resume
Can't detail too much on the nature of the project just now, more information upon inquiry - here or yeuxbleus@gmail.com

Stillrolling said it best.
I'd like to add; From my personal experience, Japanese clients can be a bit more high maintnence then North American or Chinese clients and tend to a bit pay less (in my area), again that is from my personal experience, but that's not to say I haven't or don't accept there business. I have a very clear set of terms including schedule/time limitations, rush fees, revision fees, etc.
I have worked for some major players and a bunch of smaller companies in this country, mostly I'd say my perspective, ideas and styles were well-received, appreciated and compensated for. As for sitting behind a desk at a company that's not my cup of tea so I wouldn't know. Getting paid and getting your ideas to a target audience can be two very different things. My first boss in the product industry who had no formal education gave me this advice, 'Do what you feel and the money will follow'. Through patience, persiverence, experimentation, a fearless attitude and a grip of part time jobs including working at a bento factory, cutting fish, and proof reading, some amazing opportunities have fallen in my lap.
I draw, make stuff, etc. whether there is money in it or not, (but don't tell any of my biz partners or clients). Thanks for letting me blow my own horn. I certainly understand the obstacles of making it happen in JP.
P.S. There is a recruiting company called Aquent that focuses on creative jobs in Tokyo, ask for Nomura-san or Saigan-san
(They both speak English but 日本語 is preferred)

I'm currently living in Japan and I'm looking for a design job. I've been searching the major job sites (gaijinpot, joblet, daijob, tabjobs) but there is not a lot out there right now. Do you have any tips for getting noticed in the bilingual, Japanese design world?

Hey All,
I'm putting together a survey, covering sake (nihon-shu) preferences among international residents and travelers in Japan, for the advertising/marketing courses I'll teach at Temple University this summer. I figured I'd quiz the group and see what creatives like us have to say.
http://www.genshoku.com/red/surveys/sake /
If you can take a few minutes to add your answers, that'd be very much appreciated! I'll owe you one next time!-)
*Note: The survey asks for your first/last name, but you can use just a first name and write "Asoboo" for the last name if you'd like to say anonymous.

From personal experience, the only way to survive as an artist is to create that job position. You can be one of the rare and stumble right into your dream. Or you can be one of the few and make it happen (sorry if it sounds like a recruiting ad, but it's true!).
I joined Asoboo to meet people that want to MAKE film/tv happen. NHK, TOHO, or Madhouse isn't just going to recruit me, my ideas or my camera. I'm going to have to make something they want a piece of.
And so the plan is to make it happen with a little help from my friends. Two are on board, anyone else?

Hello :) I'm graphic design student from Poland and i'm looking for a webdesigner job i could do remotly from home. I've been working for 4 years in graphic design company, mainly as webdesigner (graphic design, xhtml/css, elements of php&mysql and some ajax usage), also making some minor graphic&illustration jobs. I'm really interested in Japan, that's why I'd like to build some websites in japanese, my jap. language skills are at intermediate level, but i can translate almost everything, when it comes to conversation i prefer english, but japanese may be ok. My skills are presented in portfolio, link above. Thank you for any interest.
